About
Hi, I’m Paul Luse. So why should you read my blog? What makes me an authority? I’ve been a long time fitness fanatic (mostly lifting weights if you haven’t guessed by the title of this site) and I’ve worked through lots of injuries and dealt with some serious personal issues, health related and otherwise and I attribute a lot of my success in working through these things to my lifestyle. Please poke around this site and you will get an idea of what information and insights I have to share and see for yourself if anything sticks for you. This site is really all about wellness although you’ll find a heavy (pun intended) dose of resistance training focus as that’s really been the cornerstone of my regimen for many years.
So now a little about me… I am a Principal Software Engineer at a leading semiconductor manufacturer in Phoenix Arizona where I’ve been for well over thirty years. I am married and have two teenaged children. I received my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentration areas of Mathematics and Economics and then I went on to get my Master’s, also from ASU, in Software Engineering and then another MS in Management and Leadership from CU Denver. And also a 3rd Masters of Science in Health Science (Sports Performance) degree from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions
. That may seem like an odd set of credentials for someone claiming to know something about health and wellness but I’ve also been a gym-rat forever and grew up doing activities like downhill skiing, motor-cross, competitive Judo, SCUBA diving (deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives) and cross-country running to name a few. A bit later in life I got my 2nd degree black belt in Hapkido (self-defense in the form of joint manipulation) and had lots of fun with Muai-Thai kickboxing.currently
Nowadays I’m a bit more into general fitness, or actually wellness is a better word for it and if you check out my full site you’ll get a better idea of what I mean. I’ve toned down the martial arts a bit and really kicked my gym activities into high gear but you can read all about that in my posts. Now for some more fitness/wellnes related credentials:
